Leading Expert on US-China Relations Robert Ross to Speak at Endicott
Beverly, MA — Endicott College ,based in the Boston Area, is proud to announce that Dr. Robert S. Ross, professor of political science at Boston College and one of the world’s leading experts on U.S.-China relations, will give a public lecture on Tuesday, April 27th at 2:00 pm in the Rose Performance Hall, Center for the Arts, Endicott College, 376 Hale Street, Beverly. Dr. Ross will speak on the topic of security strategy and the evolution of US-China relations for the 21st century. The event is free and open to the public. Robert S. Ross is a Professor of Political Science at Boston College; Associate, John King Fairbank Center for East Asian Research, Harvard University, and Senior Advisor, Security Studies Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His current research focuses on Chinese security policy, with a focus on Chinese use of force and deterrence in East Asia and U.S.-China relations. Among his recent publications is Normalization of U.S.-China Relations: An International History, Re-Examining the Cold War: U.S.-China Diplomacy, 1954-1973, and New Directions in the Study of Chinese Foreign Policy. Professor Ross is the author of numerous articles on Chinese security policy and U.S.-China relations in World Politics, The China Quarterly, International Security, Security Studies, Foreign Affairs, Foreign Policy, and The National Interest. His books and articles have been translated in China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and various European countries. He is on the editorial board of numerous scholarly journals and he is a member of the Academic Advisory Group, U.S.-China Working Group, United States Congress, the Council on Foreign Relations, the National Committee for U.S.-China Relations and the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
