First Impressions: New Student Orientation is Right Around the Corner!

Summer Orientation 2011 is fast approaching (July 8-9), and we couldn’t be more exited to welcome new students to campus. We’re really pleased to have some fun and helpful additions to this year’s orientation, including:

- Use of the Poll Everywhere system to increase interactivity
- A new activity based on the Teaching Games for Understanding model
- The Parents Connections meeting, which will introduce parents of incoming students to parents of current students for an interactive Q&A session
- A big-screen movie and firepit with s’mores around the ponds
- Fun giveaways and reusable totes/drawstring bags for visitors
- The Pub will be open for parents after-hours while students are at other events

10:15 am – 11:15 am:  Welcome with Dr. Richard E. Wylie, President, Class of 2015 Profile, Academic Expectations and Summer Reading
11:30 am – 12:30 pm: Small Group Meetings with New Student Mentors
12:45 pm – 2:00 pm: Lunch with New Student Mentors, Endicott Scholars Program Lunch
2:15 pm – 3:45 pm: 1st Year Dialogues
4:00 pm – 5:45 pm: Teaching Games for Understanding
6:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Dinner
7:15 pm – 8:15 pm: “Endiquette”- Community Standards and Expectations
8:30 pm – 10:15pm: “Playfair” Comes to Endicott College
10:30 pm – 11:15 pm: Ice Cream Social with the President
11:30 pm – 1:30 am: After Hours at Endicott: Movie on The Big Screen!
