ECO Awards 2012

May 3rd, 2012 | Posted by Endicott in Around Campus | Congratulations | Events | Faculty | Students

We’re constantly amazed by the amount of volunteer work that goes on around campus and in the community, both among students and faculty/staff. To help recognize participants for their efforts and passion, we created a new event this year: the E.C.O. (Endicott Club & Organization) Awards. Organized and hosted by Endicott College Student Activities (ECSA), the April 11 evening event allowed us to turn the spotlight on those who work hard to plan events, offer support, and enhance our community.  Please join us in congratulating all of the nominees and winners!

New Organization Award: EC Alliance

This award is given in recognition of an outstanding, newly recognized student organization at Endicott (formed within the past two years). This organization has begun working toward achieving their goals and has already made an impact on the Endicott community.

Marketing & Publicity Award: CAB (Campus Activities Board)

An organization’s publicity effort is a vital component to the event planning process. This award is given in recognition of the outstanding ability of a student organization to think outside the box when it comes to advertising. The organization recognized with this award was able to use creative and effective marketing and publicity techniques to attract students to events, promote fundraising efforts, or draw attention to specific causes.

Perfect Attendance Award: ALANA, DECA, Drama Club, Environmental Society, Outdoor Adventure Club, Psychology & Human Services Club

This award is given to recognize clubs and organizations that remain involved in events throughout the year. Student Activities appreciates their involvement in events, such as the Club & Org Fairs, Homecoming, Safe Trick or Treat, and the Community Easter Egg Hunt, and would like to recognize those clubs that are willing to go that extra mile to give back to the campus community.

Community Engagement Award: Education Club

This award recognizes a student organization that made a meaningful contribution to the surrounding community (outside Endicott) through service. The impact can be either a large, one-time activity or a series of smaller projects that meets the needs of the local community.

Spirit of Endicott Award: The Agency

This award is given to a student organization that has made a significant impact on Endicott campus culture through their programs and services.

Outstanding Advisor Award: James Albuquerque & Lindsey Shrayer, LIGHThouse Leadership Society

This award recognizes the advisor who provides outstanding support for the organization and gives groups fresh ideas to enhance their educational experiences outside the classroom.

Unsung Hero Award: Gaby Heun Mun – O2O

The Unsung Hero Award recognizes a student leader who gives it his/her all, but whose efforts often go unnoticed. This person is a force “behind-the-scenes,” and goes above and beyond the typical requirements of a student organization member.

Student Leader of the Year: Marie Aja – CAB, ECTV, EEMO

The Student Leader of the Year provides exemplary service, commitment, and strong leadership to their student organization at Endicott. This individual is a motivator and has made significant contributions within their organization and its members.

Program of the Year: 12 Hours of Light, LIGHThouse Leadership Society

Student leaders will tell you how many long hours and how much effort goes into planning a successful program. This award is given to recognize those efforts and reward a highly successful and popular program within the Endicott community.

Student Organization of the Year: CAB (Campus Activities Board)

The Student Organization of the Year Award recognizes a student group that has proven they are able to serve Endicott students in a meaningful way. The Student Organization of the Year has made significant contributions to the Endicott community, and/or beyond, this year. This organization has made a significant impact on the quality of campus life at Endicott.
