Each year Endicott surveys the most recent graduating class to find out where our graduates are employed and continuing their education. Data collection starts six months after graduation and continues for several months. The article, “Apophenia: One Explanation for the Adoption of Fad Treatments in Autism,” discusses the possibility that a variety of new Autism treatments may be related to apophenia, the identification of meaningful patterns or connections in random or meaningless data. Endicott Named a Chronicle of Higher Education 2011 Great College to Work For

Student Poll Results – Summer Orientation gives us a peek into the lives of our incoming freshmen

The website PollEverywhere.com allowed presenters at orientation to collect instant feedback via text on a variety of subjects from ‘what will you miss the most when you leave home?’ to ‘how often are you on Facebook?’ Interspersed with conversations about make good decisions, setting expectations, learning new things, and settling in amidst a new environment and a new community, these polls tell us a bit about what issues are important to incoming college students. Interior Design Graduates: Final Studio Presentations

On Monday, May 16, the eight members of the first Endicott MFA and MA cohort assembled, somewhat anxiously, for the final critique of the semester-long ID515 Concentration Option Studio Project.
A number of guests attended to support the eight members with their comments and to celebrate together, including: Mary Huegel, V.P. & Dean of the School of Graduate and Professional Studies; Professor Barbara Maier; Kevin Renz, Associate Dean of Interior Design & Sustainable Design; Associate Professor Andrew Brody; Assistant Professor Robert Anderson; Robert Augustine, Adjunct Faculty; Kathy Moore, Visual Arts Coordinator; Kristin Solias, Adjunct Faculty; and John Hale, architect and owner of Hale Design Studio.
The Project Statement students addressed was a design for a School of Fine Arts. According to the Program, New York University had been given an endowment for the school, including funding to acquire and renovate a six story loft building near Washington Square. The University brief asked the Designer to create a building which was not only functional, but had a visual concept which would help establish the image of the school. The designer would also help to create the philosophical concept of an arts education. Read more
